Activities
Guests at Plume Villas can enjoy their rooms facilities, relax on their own patios, walk amongst our gardens and vines, play pétanque or cool off in our swimming pool. In Matakana village, our companion business, Plume Cafe, sits right on the roundabout, offering wonderful coffee and tasty meals, ranging from a light snack through to more substantial hot dishes.
Plume Villas, stay or play - it's up to you
When you venture out of doors, here are some activities you might like to consider, here on the property or within the wider region.
Petanque Court
Enjoy a target sport, throwing metal balls as close as possible to the jack, a wooden ball. The rules are simple, and enthusiasm is just as important as skill…
Swimming Pool
Just the spot to begin your day with an invigorating few lengths, or cool off at the end of a long hot summer day spent enjoying the delights of the Matakana region.
Plume Cafe Matakana
Right on the roundabout, Plume Cafe is a little taste of home when you venture away from your villa. It's a great place for breakfast before hitting the markets, shops and galleries. Or, if you've ventured further afield and you’re in need of refreshment, it's the perfect pit-stop for lunch or afternoon tea on your way back to our villas.
Our very own bakery is on the cafe site, producing fresh bread and sweet treats for cafe patrons, or to take home with you.

The Matakana Region
The Matakana region offers a wide range of activities, catering to the needs of the most active or the least energetic. Swimmers, surfers, snorkelers, kayakers or paddle boarders will enjoy the region’s beaches and there are walking trails and cycle tracks for the two-wheelers. Organised activities such as boat trips, fishing, horse riding, helicopter tours and team building endeavours are also available. Or you can track back to your villa, curl up with a glass of wine and a book on the patio or in one of the many sunny spots within our grounds.
